Khang’s Grade 11 Rep Promise

IF YOU ARE VOTING FOR KHANG, PLEASE READ.

Khang has said that, if he wins the title of Grade 11 Rep, he will shave off his cheese-stash! I know a lot of us want him to get rid of that thing, and if he wins, it will put an end to the peach fuzz above his lip.

SPREAD THE WORD. KHANG MUST WIIIIIIIIIIINNNNN.

That is all

The above was a message sent to all members of Khang Nguyen for Grade 11 Rep group on Facebook.

Interesting promise, eh?

Oh well.  It’s better than nothing, eh?

Andrew Muirhead: President [SAC Elections]

Andrew for Prez!
Across the hallways at Campbell Collegiate, students are gearing up for the SAC elections that are coming in a few weeks.  Candidates are frantically putting up posters and campaigning everywhere.

In the race for President is a Grade 11 student named Andrew Muirhead.

I officially endorse his campaign.

Why?  I think that Andrew is the person to lead the SAC.  The way he talks and the way he runs his campaign exudes experience.  He is one of the most dependable people I have ever known.  And I know that he’ll have the funniest presentation on Election Day that Campbell has ever seen.

So, when you head to the polls, mark an X next to Andrew Muirhead.

Matt Muirhead: Publicity Rep [SAC Elections]

Campbell Collegiate has election fever.

In a few short weeks, students will go to the polls to elect students for the Student Activity Committee.

One of the people running for Publicity Rep is Matt Muirhead.

I officially endorse his campaign.

Why?  I think that he is the best person to be Publicity Rep in these times.  His campaign itself exhibits all the qualities needed for Publicity Rep: dedication, leadership, organization and perserverance.

So, when you head to the polls, mark an X next to Matthew Muirhead.

Obama wins Guam caucuses!!!

According to this source from a news station in Guam, Barack Obama won the Guam caucuses by an insanely slim margin — 7 votes.

Hopefully recounts will increase his lead, but a 7 vote lead is quite dangerous.

Obama won the popular won, but he split the pledged delegates with Clinton.  There are 8 pledged delegates on the island, but each get half a vote.  So, Obama gets 2 delegate votes and Clinton gets 2 delegate votes.

However, there was also elections for the chair of the Democratic Party in Guam I believe, so Obama might pick up a few superdelegates.  :D

According to his website, he is now 277 delegates from the Democratic nomination.

Eco-Fair at Campbell

The Eco-Fair at Campbell was absolutely fantastic.

Besides missing one period, there was a whole bunch of free stuff, strange booths, crazy speakers, a smart car and a hybrid on the front lawn.  Even the NDP and the Greens came looking for votes, though they probably failed miserably.  Most students either don’t care or are too lazy to vote, even if they are of voting age.  XD

The SaskPower booth had environmentally-friendly lights for people to turn on/off and Taras was mesmerized by that.  The sticky notes rocked too.

The speaker that the Grade 10’s got was a crazy guy who wrote a book about “Guerrilla Gardening”.  He recommended that people should plant first and ask questions later.  In my opinion, some of his ideas were a bit extreme, such as throwing “seed bombs” over fences in private property to grow plants.

There was apparently a draw and there was an iPod up-for-grabs and there’s no news so far about that.  :(  I wonder if it’s a Nano or a Touch or a Shuffle.

Oh, there was also a burrowing owl.  Didn’t get a chance to pet it though.

Overall, I give it a 4.5/5 — non-crazy speakers would be fantastic.

On a side note, CAS meeting for students going into IB Diploma in Room 216 on Tuesday at noon.  D:

About Me

Brian is a half-insane Grade 10 pre-IB student who goes to Campbell Collegiate. He's probably the only guy at Campbell who has a Firefox t-shirt.

Brian is also a sci-fi fanatic, and especially likes Star Trek Voyager, Star Trek Deep Space Nine, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and of course, Battlestar Galactica.

He likes really random music, which might scare ya.

And add him on Facebook.

Have a nice day (or night, depending on your time zone). ^_^
