Finding out frames per second in Ubuntu December 12, 2006

Filed under: General, My Computer, My Sites, Ubuntu Linux — Brian @ 5:42 pm

Gamers usually want this one, because they want to know how much FPS (Frames Per Second) so they can compare with other people.  :D

It’s actually pretty easy in Ubuntu.  :)

1) Open up Terminal and type/paste this command:

glxgears -printfps

A window should popup and the frames per second data will be in Terminal – I got about 1900 in 5 seconds, how about you?
