Fusion-icon is a nice little icon that sits in your system tray that allows you to load window managers, window decorators, access to Compiz options and easy access to Compiz/Emerald settings.
You can easily obtain it by:
1) Install git-core.
sudo apt-get install git-core
2) After installing, you need to grab the code. Run this command:
git-clone git://anongit.compiz-fusion.org/users/crdlb/fusion-icon
3) It should download stuff into a directory. Cd into that directory.
cd fusion-icon
4) Let’s make and install.
sudo make && sudo make install
Any problems? Comment.
Thanks. It worked.

Thanks, it seemed to have worked. Altough the icon is not as great as I expected (rather small and with a white background), perhaps it has something to do with this warning message:
Updating Gtk icon cache.
sh: gtk-update-icon-cache: not found
I have installed it before using this HOW-TO: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=601310
Then fusion-icon worked flawlessly and it had a nice big icon. However I had some other issues with my ATI graphics card so decided to do it over. Now I don’t have any hardware glitches anymore but my fusion-icon isn’t what it used to be … *sigh*. At least it works.
Worked like a dream. Thanks
